Give Customers More Than Just the Part
When several distributors can supply the same fastener, the difference is often what surrounds it. Component Packaging helps turn your customer-owned fasteners and hardware into specified packages, kits, assemblies, and labeled products that are easier for your customers to receive, use, and value. You keep the customer relationship. We provide the specialized labor, equipment, warehouse capacity, and practical experience needed to produce the agreed finished output.

Move the conversation beyond price per part
A standard fastener can be difficult to distinguish from the same part offered by another distributor. A customer-ready package gives you another way to compete. Depending on the program, that may mean a specified quantity, several required components packed together, a barcode-ready label, or approved customer branding. The result is a more complete offer built around how the end customer buys and uses the product—not only the price of the individual part.
Create a more useful product
Package the right parts and quantities for a defined job, assembly step, or installation so the customer receives a product prepared for its intended use.
Differentiate your customer program
Offer packaging, kitting, labeling, or presentation requirements that a price-only competitor may not be prepared to support.
Open new revenue and margin opportunities
Turn packaging from an internal burden into a service the distributor can include in a broader customer program. The commercial return depends on the program, pricing, and customer agreement.
Help customers reduce handling and avoidable mistakes
Putting the required components together in one convenient package can reduce separate picks and make work easier for production teams and field installers. The specific operational benefit depends on the customer's process and the agreed project requirements.
Present the customer's brand professionally
Where the project supports it, use approved labels, barcodes, or customer-provided brand assets to create a finished package the customer can confidently put into use.

Where can Component Packaging help?
Turn bulk inventory into specified packages and kits
Package customer-owned fasteners and hardware in the quantities, combinations, and formats defined for the program.
Support customer-specific assembly
Handle supported nut-and-bolt assembly, larger-component work, or master-kit preparation outside your day-to-day warehouse flow.
Resolve inventory problems before shipment
Inspect, sort, relabel, replace, or repackage parts against agreed criteria so usable inventory can move forward.
Absorb work that does not justify permanent overhead
Avoid buying specialized equipment or building a dedicated team for an inconsistent, unusual, or one-time need.
Make the value-add program work at production scale
A customer-ready package still needs people, equipment, space, and careful management. Component Packaging supplies the specialized capacity and hands-on problem-solving needed to turn an approved idea into repeatable finished output, without asking your warehouse team to build and manage another operation.
Component Packaging can support normal programs, unusual requirements, and time-sensitive needs based on current capacity and project fit. You stay focused on distribution and customer relationships while a packaging specialist handles the agreed processing work
Here, “growth partner” means practical capacity that helps you offer customers more than the part alone.
How does outsourced fastener packaging work?
Define the desired output
Tell us what the finished package, kit, assembly, or corrected inventory needs to look like. If some details are still open, start with what you know.
Confirm parts, quantities, labels, and handoffs
We review the customer-owned components, expected volume, packaging or assembly requirements, labels or barcodes, timing, incoming location, and finished destination.
Receive and process the inventory
Your inventory arrives at our Joplin facility. We perform the agreed packaging or processing work using an automated, manual, or combined approach suited to the project.
Check and release the finished work
The team applies the project’s agreed checks, addresses exceptions through the defined communication path, and prepares the inventory for the next handoff.
What should you send with an initial query?
- Part descriptions, part numbers, and photos
- Approximate quantities or expected volume
- Components and quantity required in each package or kit
- Packaging, label, barcode, or assembly requirements
- Known inspection, sorting, or rework criteria
- Desired completion or delivery timing
- Current inventory location and finished destination
- Available drawings, specifications, or label files
Do not wait for a perfect specification package. The first conversation can identify what is missing.

How is customer-owned inventory handled?
Component Packaging receives and processes inventory that your business owns. Before work begins, the team needs a shared understanding of component identity, counts or quantities, project specifications, accepted output, exceptions, and shipping handoffs.
Because controls vary by project, bring any requirements involving labels, barcodes, segregation, reporting, or disposition into the first conversation. The team will confirm what it can support before the project is accepted.

When is outsourcing a good fit?
- Packaging is pulling people away from core warehouse or distribution work
- A new program needs capacity faster that you can build it
- Volumes fluctuate too much to justify permanent staffing and machinery
- The project needs both automated processing and hands-on work
- Inventory requires inspection, correction, or repackaging before it can ship
- An unusual request falls outside of your normal operation
It may not be a fit if you are looking to buy fasteners, bags, boxes, film, or other packaging supplies. Component Packaging sells processing services, not parts or packaging materials.

Why work with a fastener packaging specialist?
Packaging is Component Packaging’s core work. The operation combines experienced people, packaging equipment, hand-work capability, and approximately 30,000 square feet of facility space. Customers also have direct access to owners or managers when decisions need to be made.
Component Packaging adds packaging capacity while you retain the customer relationship.

What could make your product more valuable to the customer?
Tell us what you sell, how your customer uses it, and what would make the finished product easier to receive, handle, install, or present. We will review the components, quantities, packaging, labels, timing, and handoffs to determine whether the program fits our operation.
